Study Trip to Israel

Greg leaves this Saturday for 2 weeks in Israel – a study trip which is his final course in his MDiv program. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to finish off!

After the trip Greg will have to write two in-depth papers on one of the sites they will be visiting. His assignment is Tel Dan (check out http://www.bibleplaces.com/dan.htm) in the north of the country. Some fascinating finds have been uncovered there by archaeologists. The city, at a juncture of ancient transportation routes and alongside a spring which is one of the sources of the Jordan, played a very key role in Israel’s history, so Greg is excited about this opportunity to “dig” more deeply into its story.

Keep Helen and the kids in your prayers while Greg is away. The first weekend, in particular, will be very busy for them as Helen is organizing the “Formation” training for people working with International Teams which will be held then in Hamilton.

Skating on the Bay

Just came across this clip which we shot at the end of February:

A gorgeous day on glassy ice on the Bay near our apartment. The kids’ skating really improved this year! And yes, that’s our new dog, Raven, pulling Greg around.
